Some exceptions have been made to this rule, but in general it has been followed. Counting the 12,000 miles of center-lines painted this year and a considerable am,ount of usable line painted last year and not yet requiring a re-paint job, most of North Carolina’s paved roads now have a usable center line. Next spring the work will again. And please don’t cross^J J lines while the paint is wet.
